OOAK Faerie Doors... Handmade Monday

It's that time of the week again.. HANDMADE MONDAY.. so pop over and see what everyone has been up to:  http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/blog/2011/04/handmade-monday-11/

Since I last blogged I got the Lovely News that I won a Blog Giveaway... So exciting!!! Go over to:  Cauliflower Cupcake's blog to see!!

Well, what have I been up to.  It's been a very busy week with not much time, but I've still managed to get a few things done.  I tried my hand at some OOAK Faerie Doors, made from polymer clay.  Don't know what I hadn't done it before  They are so nice to make, time consuming but therapeutic.  I'm still playing with ideas, but here's the first three - I hope you like them!!

They are all around 3" tall.  I'm trying to think of a nice way of doing the back as I'm not happy with what I've done on these.

I've gone slightly into panic mode today as I've realised my first Craft Market in years is fast approaching - Easter Sunday!!! It's at the lovely Cove Garden Nursery, Devon  - come and say hello!!

So maybe I should actually go and do some stuff!!!! I'm off!!!

I love the middle door, the one with the pink roses. In fact I just love these doors. Such a novel and interesting idea. Where did you get the idea from in the first place?

Thanks for the comments guys . Rebecca, totally understand, been mega busy myself, excited about getting a box of goodies though xxx Kat, the original idea came when my useless ex and I were going to do a craft fair years ago. He was supposed to be making goblin dolls, and never got past one head. I'd heard of the idea of faerie doors so decided to have a play!! I love doing these ones as each one is different, also good for commissions as I'll be able to put text on signs etc xx

These are so sweet - I love the way you've captured the texture/colour of the wood on the doors. Well done and good luck at Easter x

Your doors are cute. I have a similar one in my craft room, but the back is plain as you put it on a wall in your home so that fairies can come in and out of our world. The doors signify that they are always welcome. I believe they decorate their side of the door to their taste!
